outreaches.

Rachel’s Reflections
“Jesus is the
Reason”
God’s special gift
On Christmas day
On Christmas day
Is
Jesus His Son
Who
lays on the hay
He
grew up
In
the presence of God
He
stayed at the temple
And
spoke to the old
He
walked on the water
And
calmed the sea
His
disciples said
“What
man is He?”
He
died on a cross
For
you and me
He
went up to Heaven
To
reign eternally
He’s
coming back
To
take us home
But
only those
Who
are His own
So
while you are busy
Baking
and cooking
Wrapping
or singing
Remember
one thing:
Our Lord Jesus is the
reason
We celebrate this
season!
Rachel wrote a different poem in Danish instead of translating the English one, so here's a little challenge for the language people:
Jul
er:
Kagebagning
Pebernødder
Og pynte op
TRAVLHED
Jul
er:
Levende lys
Musik
Hemmeligheder
STILHED
Jul
er:
Juletræ
Julelys
Og sokker over kaminen
’SMUKHED’
Jul
er:
Vandpytter og flyvemyrer
Regn og varm kakao
Højtlæsning
HYGGE
Jul
er:
Englesang
Hyrdesøvn
Gaver af guld
JESU FØDSEL
GLÆDELIG JUL !
GLÆDELIG JUL !

Acacia’s Account...
“Why I Love Christmas...”
Christmas is a time
to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
Christmas is a time
to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
It
is not only to be serious,
but also to have fun,
to laugh and to play.
to laugh and to play.
I
love Christmas,
because
it is a time to
spend with family
spend with family
and
friends.
To bake cakes and cookies,
To bake cakes and cookies,
and
wrapping gifts,
and
decorating the tree.
And
putting up stockings,
and
sing Christmas song
and
also to play Christmas songs
on my trumpet.
Yes, that is what I like to do.
on my trumpet.
Yes, that is what I like to do.
I
have always had
a question to ask:
a question to ask:
Why do we get gifts if
Christmas is for Jesus?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mikaela’s Musings….
Christmas is wonderful
because we get many presents.
We also have a very beautiful Christmas
tree;
and we made many of our own decorations.
and we made many of our own decorations.
It is fun to get a little surprise in the stockings every morning,
and a full stocking on Christmas.
and a full stocking on Christmas.
I love the story of baby Jesus and the angels;
that is why we even have Christmas.
that is why we even have Christmas.
We have also made our own Advent wreath, it is beautiful.
I love to sing Christmas
songs
and walk hand in hand round the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
and walk hand in hand round the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
Merry Christmas!
